Welcome to our family website.

This blog, which began as a therapeutic outlet during the wait for our daughter's arrival, morphed into a place to share feelings, ask for support, and flip through a virtual 'brag book' of photos. NOW, as we embark on our second adoption trek, please join us as we plan, pray, and travel again to the other side of the world to be united with the next piece of our family puzzle.

1st Beach Visit

So far since we've been home we've only been swimming in pools. So, last Sunday afternoon we decided to head to the beach with Uncle Brian and Aunt Tami.

Hope is perfecting the fine art of sand castle construction.

A Final Splash for the Beach Babe

SPLASH!

Thank you to Amy, Dave, and Olivia for inviting us over for a pool party last Saturday (16th). We had a great time relaxing on your beautiful patio and love every second that we can get the girls together! MMMMM! Lunch was pretty yummy, too. :)

Olivia - Our Lovely Hostess

Playing in the House - You can see Ava there through the crack, and I think Lexi is inside, too.

One can never have enough bling!

Lunch! - It was pretty hot out in the sun. So, while the girls were sure cute and enjoying independence out at the table there by themselves, it wasn't long before they were all on our laps under the umbrella.

Testing out the water with Ava.

"Let go Mama! I do it myself!" Hope wanted to do everything on her own in the water. I think Olivia thinks she's crazy.

The girls had to squeeze in a little more playtime before heading home for naps.

Holly sent this photo of the girls. ADORABLE!

Hope had such a wonderful time playing with her friends. She's been talking all week about how she was swimming in the pool with Exi, Awa, and O-li-yah. Such special times for our girls! Thanks again!!!

The Zoo with the Brues

Thursday the 14th started out with Hope H. getting to spend the morning with Hope B. while I had an appointment. I left my camera and this is what I got back. :)

When I got back, we packed up the girls and headed to the zoo for a picnic. We always have such a good time with Hope and Melody. Thanks for your TLC and for a fun afternoon together!

I thought these were beautiful and had to snap a couple on the way out.

Weekend Con't (Aug. 8-10, 2008)

New Perry baby, Olympics, family...we knew we were going to have a fun weekend.

Here is the proud cousin again, just because it's my blog and I wanna. :)

Saturday was a busy day. The three Dads decided to head out for a motorcycle ride for a couple of hours. Mark did get his running after all. :)

Making Sure Daddy's Bike is Ready

I love this picture of Hope and Ron. You can see the sparkle in that smile. She adores her daddy. I'm pretty sure Ron is beaming under that helmet, too.

Ready To Go

The girls decided to head over to Peck's. This is where we went looking for pumpkins a year ago when we visited Mark and Andria. Hope is always intrigued by animals and they have some pretty ones here. They also have a market with some VERY yummy homemade treats. And, new this time, they had a jumping castle set up. I'd say the morning was a success for the ladies.

Hope got right down and said "hi" to the goats. That last one sneezed on us.

Mark and Andria had planned one of Hope's favorites for lunch. MMMMMMM!

Exhausted After a Big Morning

Andria's mom and sister came over for the afternoon, too. It was great to see them again and Hope thought they were wonderful, especially since they brought her a purse full of goodies and a princess dress. She even used her new "toe paint" on Stella. :)

Aunt Andria paints with the real thing!

Cuddled up at the end of a long day. Don't know who looks cozier here.

Sunday we were up pretty early (thanks to someone) so we just got everything packed up and got on the road.

Here are a few shots of our three riders. Mark rode part of the way north with us. He's at the head of the pack.

Thanks again for a fantastic weekend Mark and Andria. Can't wait to see you again soon. Did we look at Sept./Oct. dates???
