Welcome to our family website.

This blog, which began as a therapeutic outlet during the wait for our daughter's arrival, morphed into a place to share feelings, ask for support, and flip through a virtual 'brag book' of photos. NOW, as we embark on our second adoption trek, please join us as we plan, pray, and travel again to the other side of the world to be united with the next piece of our family puzzle.

Peace & Blessings...Beth & Ron (and Hope too)

Saturday - Final Weekend Highlights

Hope loves her Uncle Mark!

Funny :)

Returning Hunters

If you asked Hope, I bet she'd tell you one of her favorite things about the snow up north was being able to get her sled out. She would have stayed out all day if she could have convinced someone to pull/push her around longer. She had so much fun!

Thursday (con't) - Friday

I couldn't resist this "Just wait a minute, Mom" photo. :) - As I look at Hope's clothes, I realize these first few shots are left over from Wednesday.

The rest of our Thanksgiving week was wonderful. We took LOTS of family pictures.

Pre-Dinner Fun Friday Night

Head Bump - OH this one was bad. I was ready to make some calls and possibly a nighttime Dr. run, but Hope was so calm. She was just running across the living room and stumbled right into the edge of the chair. Yes, we had a forehead gash and a bruise, but Hope handled it all so well and kept that "ice koob" right where it needed to be.

One of Mom's Fav from these couple of days.
"I'm right here. hahaha" Hope doesn't keep her hiding spots secret for long. :)

Blessed Holiday. Blessed Friends. Blessed Family. Blessed US!

Favorite Photo of the Morning

Today has been a pretty low key day. Hope, Grandma, and I went over to the lodge to make a craft this morning at 10:00. Hope did a pretty good job creating the layout of things, but we had to be careful with keeping her away from the hot glue gun. Her words, "We don't touch that, nope." Anyway, these little ornaments were pretty sweet when they were complete. Her hand cut out is the tree and one of the gifts underneath is a small frame. Christmas will be so fun this year!

After lunch, a cookie dunk with Daddy, and a little more "Baby" time Hope was off for her nap. Hopefully she's still having peaceful slumber because tomorrow is a big day!!! :) Mark and Andria are coming!!!

Here is a funny video from lunch. Grandpa was talking about the squirrel chattering at him in the woods that morning. This was Hope's interpretation. :)

Hope everyone is having a good week!

Tuesday

We got up here at about 8:30 on Monday night and headed into the lodge for a quick Packer update (not a good night for the Pack). Then we headed over to Mom and Dad's condo to unpack. Hope had had a very short afternoon nap, didn't sleep in the car, and was stir crazy from the ride. She was so excited to see Grandma and Grandpa and ran to open arms at first sight.

Tuesday was a fun day.

This is Hope trying to cup her ear for the "snap, crackle, pop."

Hope is pretty animated when she's telling a story. Don't mind the cream cheese. :)

Hope and Grandma made cookies and then we headed over to the pool for a while. Later, the girls passed some time with chex mix, window stickers, and more of "Baby."

After lunch Ron and Grandpa went into the woods...I'll let you ask Ron about his "click."

Hope on the phone with Uncle Mark

Tuesday night Hope made dinner for us. We all enjoyed her special pizzas.

Hope's "baby" has been attached to her every spare moment so far this week. We keep asking her to name her doll, but she just keeps saying "Baby," so "Baby" it is. She is such a good little "mother," too. I'm starting to see just how CAREFUL we need to be because everything we do we see again in little miniature dramas while a certain little sponge is playing.
Here you see her "It's OK."

Here "Baby" got hurt somehow and needs some nurturing. At the end you here, "Don't go down there by yourself." Sweet.
