Welcome to our family website.

This blog, which began as a therapeutic outlet during the wait for our daughter's arrival, morphed into a place to share feelings, ask for support, and flip through a virtual 'brag book' of photos. NOW, as we embark on our second adoption trek, please join us as we plan, pray, and travel again to the other side of the world to be united with the next piece of our family puzzle.

Sentences!

OK - So my genius of a daughter has been combining words for a while now, but as of yesterday...

Ready?

Are you sitting down?

...Hope is speaking in 4 word sentences! I can't believe her language explosion. This is crazy! I was so excited to tell Ron, and he turned around in the car and said to Hope, "Has anyone ever told you you're still a kid?" We just can't believe how fast our little girl is growing up.

So I got to Mom and Dad's to pick up Hope after work yesterday afternoon and she had to show me her new puzzles that they got her to play with. Hope likes to take the pieces off the puzzle and put them in another container. She had a bag and a bowl to choose from. At the time, she chose to put the pieces in the bowl so my mom was going to take the bag and put it away. Well, Hope looked at her and very clearly said, "I need the bag." WOW! Knock me over!

Then later, Hope decided to "bump" down the stairs on her own. Call me silly, but I usually like someone to be near her if she's going to go down the stairs. :) Funny right? :) Anyway, my mom went to get her to bring her back up and Hope said, "I heard some puppies." SO CUTE! She was just on her way to find the puppies. AH! My big girl!

I can't believe this girl. She amazes us every day. I can't wait to see what she's going to do tomorrow. :)

~ Here she is ready to talk my ear off...and I can't wait to listen! ~ (Don't remind me I said that when Hope is 13 and I'm singing a different tune. All I know at this moment is that I can't get enough of her sweet voice.)
