Due to a last minute schedule change this afternoon, I was able to stop on the way home, pick up some flowers for our girl, and spend some quality family time tonight celebrating this special day. It is hard to believe that two years have flown by since we first had a very scared little Lin Ke Xuan placed into our arms. We are so blessed to have experienced the joy of that day, the journey of adoption, and the eye-opening surrender to God's plan for our family. If you'd like to read more in detail about our Gotcha moment visit this post I put together last year. After the formalities of that afternoon, we struggled to work through the fear and grief Hope was facing and the absolute overwhelming flood of joy in our hearts. It is amazing to see the miracles that have unfolded in just two years. We are in awe daily of the beautiful happy girl who is our daughter, our Hope. Family. *sigh* So wonderful!
Flowers "for me?" :)

Fun trip to the Park Tonight
Tonight before dinner we were out on the deck talking about what this day means for our family. I asked Hope who Mommy and Daddy met two years ago and she answered, "Hope. But you were not my mommy and daddy? Were you there to pick me up? Were you married? I was scared for a little bit." She understands and feels so deeply. What a remarkable daughter we have. Happy Gotcha Day Sweet Hope.

Congrats on your 2 year anniversary of that special day! What a beautiful family you make. I loved seeing the now & then photos (it kind of looks like Ron may have that same shirt in a couple of different colors: )
