Welcome to our family website.

This blog, which began as a therapeutic outlet during the wait for our daughter's arrival, morphed into a place to share feelings, ask for support, and flip through a virtual 'brag book' of photos. NOW, as we embark on our second adoption trek, please join us as we plan, pray, and travel again to the other side of the world to be united with the next piece of our family puzzle.

NEWS!

I don't want to get too excited, because after doing so last week, I was pretty let down...BUT - Some west coast agencies received referrals today for their families. I'm going to speculate a little and hope I'm not setting myself up for another disappointment. Because our agency was closed today and will be through the weekend, Monday SHOULD be our day. Everybody pray hard and have a beautiful Easter.

P.S. Don't forget about helping us out with the quilt too. Thanks everyone. :)

Oh you guys!! This sounds SOOOO promising this time. I know it sounded promising last time, too, but now you know for sure that some agencies have gotten referrals this time around...I think it's your turn!! YEAH!! I've been praying since you told me at church last night. Doesn't it figure that the one time you need your agency to be open, it's closed??!! UGH!! See you bright and early tomorrow morning. Wanna help with the Easter breakfast?? hehehe
Love,
Melody

Good morning Ron and Beth! I have had some time today to reflect; and time to read much of your blog. You are inspiring. What a Glorious Easter. After four months of grieving, missing Grandma Hatcher with all my being, the celebration of the empty tomb brings such joy. Christ is risen and we are ready for new life. The time is now for your child to come. She (he perhaps?) has been in our hearts, unknown, for so long now. It is time this child comes home.

I keep clicking the refresh button as I read and write (the news could come any minute). We are ready. God grant us this peace - today.

Love, Colleen

You are right, absolutely the most beautiful lil girl!! I think I see a twinkle of a lil devilish personality in there just waiting to come out and unleash it on your very quiet and relaxing Heutmaker household. Oh what the future has in store for you!! Enjoy this time the two of you preparing for the coming home. I have shivers just thinking of your joy!! Love, Melissa Barg
