On our way home from a busy day, we stopped in Hudson at Birkmose Park overlooking the St. Croix river.
I don't know about photo composition, shadows across our faces, and catching the right light.
But smiles? Now there is something I love.
And when we're lucky, we can even catch some of those beautiful giggly, face-scrunching, eye-squinting moments with the camera.
The smile on this little girl's face brightens my days.
And, this man...husband, father, and best friend, who reminds me of the need for laughter, builds me up...not just on Mother's Day, but every day.
I am blessed.

Wow!!! Nice post Beth, I love you.
What a sweet day & yes you are truly blessed to have such a lovely family.
Looks like you had a fabulous day. Love the black and white photos, especially the first one of mother and daughter peeking from behind the tree! A beautiful family and a beautiful little girl!
Love it.
You are blessed!...and your daughter is just ADORABLE!!
I found your blog somewhere along the line through MN Red Thread. It's so fun to read about other families who are either on their adoption journey, or who have already brought home their precious little blessing!! I look forward to reading more about your family.
God bless! <><
