Welcome to our family website.

This blog, which began as a therapeutic outlet during the wait for our daughter's arrival, morphed into a place to share feelings, ask for support, and flip through a virtual 'brag book' of photos. NOW, as we embark on our second adoption trek, please join us as we plan, pray, and travel again to the other side of the world to be united with the next piece of our family puzzle.

Making adjustments

This morning has been a little tough. All of us are short on sleep. The night before we left China Beth and I were up late packing bags then had a 4:00 am wake up call on the 14th of June. Baggage was picked up at 4:38am then we left for the airport at 5:30 am.

So after having about four hours of sleep the night before we hopped on a jet plane and were in the air around 9:15am China time. We arrived in Minneapolis around 8:30 pm which doesn't sound bad, but keep in mind there is a 13 hour time difference.

Jet lag plus sleep depravation equals tired crabby people. were doing our best though.

Just so we can "get" the time difference... How many hours was that, including the time difference. For example, 4 hours of sleep in a 36 hour period?

Its so good to see you at home with your daughter. Thats a cool word isn't it(daughter). You live in a good and safe neighborhood. Last night your neighbors were checking out the loopy lady sitting in the dark in her van waiting for you to come home. Love ya,
Deb

Yeah! You made it!!! I have loved looking at all the photos and hearing of your adventures. Let us know when there's a good time to come out and see y'all. Take some time to let your bodies catch up with the time. And Ron, Happy Father's Day! Congrats!

WELCOME HOME!
I am sure you are both exhausted. What an amazing adventure. Thank you so much for taking the time to pour so much of your hearts and souls into the blogs on such a regular basis so that we could feel like we were part of the travel group. Your extended family is looking forward to spending time with Hope. We already feel that we have met her.

Love,

Wendy, Larry & Hannah

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! I love her already! The video makes me want to give her a big hug. You both are going to be the most AMAZING parents this world has ever seen! This summer lets get our 'girls' together (meaning us classmate girls and our little girls!) and go to the park. My heart is truly overwhelmed with joy for your family. God knew exactly what He was doing when He gave Hope to such wonderful people and when He gave you such a wonderful girl. Love you all!!! Jen (Snyder) Anderson
P.S. In only a few years Hope and Claire will be in dance class together - YEAH!!
