Welcome to our family website.

This blog, which began as a therapeutic outlet during the wait for our daughter's arrival, morphed into a place to share feelings, ask for support, and flip through a virtual 'brag book' of photos. NOW, as we embark on our second adoption trek, please join us as we plan, pray, and travel again to the other side of the world to be united with the next piece of our family puzzle.

The White Swan

Hi all sorry for not posting right away when we arrived in Guangzhou. We have been very busy. Some of the recent highlights are that Hope has been ok with sitting in a high chair which has made mealtimes much easier. the following day she decided it would be ok to ride in the stroller which has made Beth happy. Best of all Hope and daddy had some play time while mommy pretended to sleep. what a wonderful time.

the photos really tell the best story so that is what I've been trying to keep loading.

What a cute dress from Grandma and Grandpa Perry.

our flight went well no big surprises. Snacks to eat helped with the pressure changes on take off and landing.

White Swan Hotel is beautiful. the room is huge and has a great view, if it weren't for the rainy season.

Ron had a 90 minute foot massage tonight which was great. at a cost of 68 yuan. with the exchange rate that amounts to a little under ten bucks. WOW.. Beth is on the schedule for tomorrow i think.

Tomorrow is visa photo for Hope and a medical exam so that she can go home with us. after that i think we will do some more shopping. lots of little shops to go to.

it is late and we have an early start in the morning. I tried to load pictures and this computer isn't helping or something is blocked. maybe we can borrow some time on one of the other families computers and try again. just four days to go,

Ron

Hi Beth, Ron and Hope.....
Rainy season? We know about that here in OR! I love getting your notes and learning about the daily adjustments of you all. What an amazing couple of weeks you all have had. Does Hope walk or crawl at all? I can only imagine the birthday bash there will be when you all are back on WI soil......
Enjoy it all, and please keep posting!

Blessings to you all.....Julie K.

I agree with Julie, I love reading your blog. I've been checking it out a couple of times every day to see if anything is new.
Happy to hear that Hope is warming up to Ron.
I'll be praying for a safe trip back to Wisconsin for all of you.

Hi Ron, Beth and Hope,
We just finished a beautiful June Bug Days celebration and I am imagining Hope on a pony ride next year like I saw Maddie Peterson on yesterday. I am glad someone mentioned all the pictures because I didn't realize that there were more when you click on the photo. Duh! The food looks great, especially the fish. Enjoy! Everyone is talking about you guys and your blog. Keep up the good work. Last Wednesday we went to a salad fund raiser for some ladies at Mom and Dads church who are going to China in a few weeks and Mom brought your and Hopes picture to show them. You are celebrities around here. Yes, I was able to actually print your picture. You are on my fridge and we continue to pray for you all and you are in our thoughts all the time. We love you. Safe travels to you and all the new Moms and Dads.
Love Deb

Hey guys!
We were in the Dells this weekend and I couldn't wait to get home and check out the blog. I'm even more anxious for you guys to get home. I'm glad I just read Deb's blog because I had no idea that we could click on pictures and see MORE pictures of Hope. How wonderful. She is just so,so beautiful!! And you guys are still glowing!!

We had a great time in the Dells. Hope's first time in the pool and we couldn't get her out. Now all she says is, "Hope swim. Hope swim." We're thinking we're going to have to buy one of those above ground cheapy pools for the summer now.

Hurry home. As they say on Long Island "safe home!"

Love,
Mel

Hi Guys -
We've been thinking of you so much over the past few weeks...even more than usual. I'm so excited to hear you are doing so much with your time in China. Ultimately it will help you teach and show Hope where she came from. I bet you are anxious to get back home though. I've finally sent Hope's b-day gift, so it will be waiting for you when you arrive home.
All our love and wishes for a safe flight back. Can't wait to see you!
Love,
Wendy, Mark and Kyra

Hi Guys!
We are sure missing you! Rick, Mitchell, and I were in Baldwin Friday and we didn't tell him where we were, but he immediately said "Go Ron and Beff House!" I explained where you were and he wanted to "GO China see Baby Hope". He didn't know why he couldn't go. It sounds like your having a great time, but I won't tell Mitchell. Happy Birthday 1st to my new niece! We already have presents waiting. I haven't been able to open pictures, but I am sure there are cute ones.

Lots of Love,
Lisa
