Hi all, We have hada wonderful day. Tension was pertty light from breakfast through the beginning of paper work session. Durring the paperwork session they gave us an updated report of our children. Upon opening the packet we were shocked at the picture and how much she has changed. After paperwork we walked to the shopping center in 90 degree heat and very humid. I won't put a link in but if you google Nanning, China weather you will get a feel for our weather. Shopping was fun and prices were cheep. You could tell everyone was getting excited/nervous. The wait was getting to us and the room was starting to feel small. Beth and I decided to go down to the lobby and wait. Guess we weren't the only ones, most of the families were already in the lobby.
The bus loaded up and we were on our way to the Civil Affairs building.
In this picture you can see the room where the brought our babies in. On our way in Beth and I saw Hope to our left just as the door was closing. We started to get pretty emotional. I knew that was a good moment to dig out the package of tissues. Everyone took one and most myself included and I needed it. You could tell that Hope was very attached to her foster parents.
After a while Beth handed Hope to me and after a while she started to calm down. Beth knew this could happen, but I don't think it makes it any easier. Yep Hope was BaBa's little girl from the start.
The good news is that Hope is warming up to both of us now. We had bath time which was more fun for us than Hope. Mama and baby had a little snuggle and Hope went to sleep. When I left to Blog Hope was sound asleep in the crib. Think I should go get some sleeep so I am ready when she wakes up.
Good night,
Ron
p.s. I can't view the post and I will apoligize for poor grammer and misspelling. I trust all will figure out what I am trying to say.

Beth and Ron,
I'm so happy for the two of you....words can't explain it.
You've been on such an exciting journey to get your daughter...(OUR NIECE!!!).
She is beautiful....and you both look so happy.
I'm sure you're exhausted.....and I'm sure you probably won't be sleeping much over the next few days....although it probably won't slow you down all that much.
Enjoy your alone time over the next few days with Hope, cuz when you get back, she is going to be the center of attention of all of us for many....many YEARS to come.
I'm thinkin you guys should probably move to Madison. I'll start looking for work around here for the two of you.
Can't wait to see you. Everyone at work and all our friends send their best wishes as well.
-Uncle Mark

My arms ache just thinging about holding your new baby in your arms.

I would also like to thank you for making me cry at work!! It's so worth it, she's beautiful and looks so comfortable in your arms!
I do have to disagree with Uncle Mark though...moving to Madison is a terrible idea!!! :o)
Take care you guys, we'll see you very soon!!
Tami
p.s. I just called Uncle Brian at work...I think he's going to have a very long day because I just told him there are new pictures posted. Oops!!
Oh you guys!! I got to Mary Ellen's house to drop off Hope and I asked her if she had seen the picture yet. She hopped on line and you made me cry again with all the new pictures. She is perfect for you. I have to say that I spent some time earlier this morning checking out the blogs of the others who are there getting their girls, too, and Hope is by far the most beautiful girl there!! I'm not a bit biased, either.
Just wanted to let you know that on the way to Baldwin this morning this is what I heard, out of the blue, from the backseat, "I love you, Beth. I love you, Hope. I love you, Ron." Our little Hope (although she refers to herself as Big Hope and Hope H as little Hope) misses you guys, too, and is anxious to meet "little Hope."
Welcome to parenthood!! It's the best thing in the world.
Love you guys!
Mel
She is so beautiful! We are so excited for you.
Welcome to the family Hope, we love you already!!!
Alexa just can't wait to meet her new cousin, she is excited to have a little girl to play with :)
Praises to God, We love you all,

CONGRATS!!! You both look so comfortable and at peace. I'm so happy for you. I got a quick peek this morning and was thrilled that there were so many pictures now that I could finally sit down and read the recent postings. Hope is adorable. Take care and know we are all so excited for you!
HLK
Thrilled for you guys !
She is a doll.
Enjoy every minute.
Oh, you guys!! I have been crying for the last hour, and don't know how to stop! Those pictures!! How absolutely RIGHT she looks in your arms..what a family! As I look over this whole blog, I think about how great techology really is. How Hope can look back on this someday, and not only feel the love in her parents hearts before they even met her, but the outpouring of love from her new community that can't wait to see her!!
I also think about Hope's situation, of having to leave her foster family, and can't help but think that God couldn't have picked a better pair of parents who will help her through that transition, and help her to know that the changes and uncertaities in her young life are over. That she will never want for love again as long as she lives.
God bless you all, and I hope you have a very happy and 'uneventful' trip home!!
Love you all,
Jeff and Jodi and girls'
Beth, the look in your eyes is priceless. Ron, you're a natural. So sweet to see the 3 of you together. (I may be suing Mabelline in their claims of "waterproof" mascara...I guess tears can get that stuff off.) So happy for all of you. What a special time for you all! Enjoy the rest of your time in China and can't wait to see you when you arrive home. She is a doll! Jen A
And baby makes three......how perfect and she is a perfect fit. Beth and Ron you look so happy and why not! You will be amazing parents and you are all lucky to have found each other.
PTL and Blessings to all.....
Julie K.
Congratulations to all of you! You deserve this so much! Love ya!

Ok guys,
Had to write again. She is so beautiful! Sorry I can't gush much. Still at work today, and very busy. But I had to take one more peek. She looks very content with you both. Uncle Ron, Mitchell says to tell Aunt Beth not to feel too bad that "Baby Hope" warmed up to you first, because as you well remember he liked Uncle Ron more that anyone (including his parents), and now he loves us all.
Mitchell say don't fret Aunt Beth!
Lots of Love,
Rick, Lisa, and Mitchell
Like Lisa, I had to write one more time. The Chinese food today in honor of Hope was fabulous. I even went to the gym just now in order to work some of it off. hehehe
Tedd Drenth just dropped off a picture of the three of you so I'll share it with the Ed Comm and Worship Comm tonight.
Can't tell you how anxious I am for you guys to get home now. Every step you've taken on this journey has made Hope more and more a reality. I remember when I first saw her referral picture. It seemed real. Then when you got your TA. It seemed more real. Then when you left for China. Again, more real. And now to see the pictures of the three of you...it really IS real now!! The only thing that will top it is you guys being home, settling in, and sharing the ups and downs of parenthood with you. I can't wait!!
OK...time to stop writing and get things together for the meeting.
Love you guys!
Mel
We spent the afternoon at Park reading your posts and taking turns enlarging Hope's picture. We think the one of Ron and Hope makes the best close-up. Hope is absolutely beautiful. We're all thinking of you and sending you good wishes. Beth, you finally look at peace with Hope sleeping in your arms. I know they have been aching for her, and will never be empty again. Much love!

Hi Beth, Ron, & Hope!
I had lunch with Phyllis today and she told me the exciting news! I just had to check it out myself...so glad I did! She is absolutely beautiful and the three of you make a wonderful family. Congratulations. Enjoy your family "honeymoon"...I'm wishing you more love and goodness than your hearts can hold! Welcome, Hope!
Hugs, Cheryl Fielitz (Brdlik)
Hi guys,
Just Lisa (your sister) again. I can't believe how great it all is. She is so cute. I love how content she looks sleeping. I didn't even realize it until this moment, but we had Chinese food brought in for dinner tonight. (I thought it was Morgan Beaver having a craving again, but I guess it was "Baby Hope"). Mitchell needs special hugs and kisses from Uncle Ron and Aunt Beth, because Rick just took him to Urgent Care and he has pink-eye. The joys of parenting. Mitchell want Hope to know that he already has her first birthday present at his house and want to play with it. Lots more love and hugs and kisses, Rick, Lisa, and Mitchell.
ps: I hope she is a great sleeper right away for you guys. Get home quick.
ooooooooooooh Beth she is gorgeous!!!! Gotta love the Guangxi weather... hope you are enjoying Nanning... Seeing the pictures of you meeting Hope gave me chills and brought back all our wonderfil memories of Nanning!!
